So I previously had a problem with two bristle worms/fireworm (never figured it out 100%). Ended up catching one and never finding the other (may have died). Now I went down to check on my tank and saw these two little white lines thrashing around at the top of my tank, I turn on my white light and they drop to the sand. One was pinkish/red and the other was blue. Not sure. Will try to remove another night when I see them.

Why would you want to remove bristle worms? They are a good part of CUC. They eat detritus and left over food. Some people actually buy them to add to their tank. Over population means you are probably feeding too much. Their population will ebb and flow with the available food. You could get a Melanurus Wrasse which will eat some too.

But yes they are ugly ! ! ! ;)

Dont be so quick to eliminate, it could be a dorvilleidae worm which eat algae. Saw them spinning around my tank one night and freaked me out but they are harmless and add to the biodiversity

I only want to remove them for two reasons. One, because I don’t want to potentially have more fire worms. Two, they scare me lol
