How does everyone feel about BW in there tank.

Do you like them, do they steal food, irritate polyps?

Or are they just an ugly detritovore?

They always seem to do bad things to corals that sit in the sand IMO, plates, brains, anemones.

I see bristle worms in my tank all the time now. They don't seem to bother anything. So good for me!!! Does anything eat bristle worms??? I don't want them to over take my tank.

the problem with bristleworms is that it covers a LOT of different types of worms
when i first entered this hobby i used to get these large fire worm type bristle worms and they were monsters
i havent really seen them around as i used to but WHENEVER i hear the name bristleworm, my mind goes straight to fire worms which i cant stand!

sorry forgot to vote, hmm i cant vote missing one i think. personal they are good but there are one's that are more of a pain. my vote is plan "C", Undecided.

Actually I think they are great as a typical cleaning creature.. BUT here are some pics from last months encounter...

Didnt really burn or anything... Found him by accident under a large Aussie acan colony

Yeah when i get those stuck on my fingers they don't burn or hurt. I had one drop in my hand by accident when i was feeding.

I really like Bristleworms and I actually think they are really cute. It's a pink worm with little whiskers- how is that not cute??

I don't like to get pricked in my fingers those but I guess I deserve it when I'm messing with their home.

Gwen your a breath of fresh air...LOL!

I dont mind them gives me somthign to look at at night as they come out of the rockwork to scavenge

also helps clean up due to my terible habbit of over feeding

i think there great there in the rocks for a reason and if your having a major bloom of them back off your feeding as they can only get outa hand if they have a good food source.

I also like my bristleworm. I've only seen the one, but he's getting reallllly big, must be 8 inches. I find him no uglier than my serpent star.
