So I know it’s not horrible to have bristle worms but have read that you should not let them get to big. I just pulled this guy out of the top of my refugium. He was about 4 inches when stretched all the way out. He is the 1st one I have ever seen in my tank and was on top of my chaeto. Any issues I should know about?

As long as he is not a fire worm or hurting you or corals they can be quite beneficial as detritivores, They normally stay out of sight and will eat any leftover food or waste and will reproduce till they have a stable population. I know many people despise Bristle worms, but for me as long as they are not 1-2 feet long and scary looking they are a part of my own ecosystem and will do their part in it.
