Hi!

I'm basically new, returning after a long time. Traded for some coral yesterday and found this little guy at the bottom of the bucket. Can you tell me if it’s a beneficial guy or not?

Thanks friends!

He definitely looks more red in the light.

Pics are a little blurry but it looks more like a bristle worm than a fire worm to my eyes- is it possible to get any clearer photos?
Thank you so much for replying so quickly!
I’m trying my best here with the camera whatever it is I’m guessing it’s juvenile because it’s only about an inch when fully stretched out.

Most likely a bristle worm, let it eat the waste in your tank. Watch your fingers

One more, cuz it’s my first hitchhiker and I’m excited

No problem! Based on your last few photos I'm very confident your dealing with a bristle worm, fire worms have much more pronounced bristles than what it is pictured (although just a head ups if you bother this one the bristles will become more prominent, just not as much so a fire worms would).

Hope this helps!

Thank you all so much! I put it in the tank earlier today after collecting some of your replies. I’m so excited to be back in the hobby. It’s really nice to have my enthusiasm for something be reflected.
