Had a few corals slowly die (Goni, hammer, Trachy) when others of same species have been fine, parameters have been pretty stable although working on getting phos and nitrates down.
Noticed little pink things moving on the edge of the tissue on the Goni so got it out and dipped it and these came off it, they are tiny (biggest probably 1-2mm) are they something to worry about or am I being paranoid?

As far as what is happening to your corals.
What are the specific parameters?
How were they acclimated to chemistry?
How were they acclimated to lights? Were all of them placed at the same par level?

Thank you for putting my mind at ease re the critters haha

Parameters have been pretty stable at;
Cal 420
Alk 9
Mag 1335
Salinity 1.025
Ph 8.2

But my nitrates were around 40 and phos around .1 and I have been dosing vinegar which has been bringing them down and currently at;
Nitrate 6
Phos .04

These are corals I have had for 6 months with no issue but have started to have tissue recession in the last month, so maybe they weren’t coping with the high nutrients?

Lighting or coral position hasn’t changed so don’t think it’s the lighting.

For 2-3 days if could test 2 or 3 times a day and graph the changes?
Sometimes its the stability not the numbers.
A waterchange plus some carbon can help if its a contaminate.

Any changes in flow? A failing or dirty powerhead or suddenly too much flow can also cause tissue issues.

Yeah I must admit my tests have been 1-2 weeks apart so I will track it over a couple days and see how it looks.

Did a 50% water change last night and added some carbon.

Haven’t changed any settings on my gyres but I’ll give them a clean as well just to be sure.

Thank you for the ideas
