Bristle worm, pretty sure

Just discovered this in my 24G nano tank. It's about 5" long, so either it hides pretty good or I'm not very observant. I put it under a magnifying glass and didn't see any fire worm type bristles so I assume it's just a benign bristle worm. I released it back into the aquarium.

I don't think I would have put it back in the aquarium. Some like them, I don't.

Great scavengers and early warning of excess nutrients. Their population reflect excess food is what I'm saying. Personally I leave them be.

Keep 'em, just put the big ones in the sump or back chamber. Bristleworms tend to self regulate as mentioned above and are a vital part of the CUC. I have a 20g tank that holds the chaeto that I pull from my main tank (I give it away for free to local reefers), but some people would freak at the amount of bristleworms that are in there.
