I have this happy beginner level coral- I forgot what it is called now, but when open looks like tiny green flowers with a dot in the middle,... Anyhow, now it seems that a small red bristle worm has taken up residence in or under it-
The coral is not opening up anymore and I am wondering if this is why?
I understand that bristle worms are not harmful, but can I get him to move out?

... it could also be daisy polyp.

I had a bristle worm take residence in my bubble coral which like yours contracted for a few days until I worked out why. You could buy a worm trap or use one of the DIY methods just do a quick search...

Folk will say bristles are good and clean up detritus, although I remove mine manually with tweezers (and wearing gloves) when I see them and caught one munching on xenias once.

There are many varieties of bristle worms, some awesome, some not so much. In general, gray with orange-red tips are the most common, and seem to be fine, not bothering anything. Other varieties I don't trust so well. Since it's in someplace it's not supposed to be, I'd remove it. Tweezers if you can, a trap if you can't. Traps are really easy to make. I made one out of half a water bottle. Let me know if you can't find instructions and I'll tell you what I did.

Also, beginner coral, tiny green flowers with a dot in the middle, almost certainly green star polyp. Like this?

Yes! That is it! Sooo pretty and simple-
Just checked all my water levels, and aside from the ph being a tad low, all is good.

I introduced a coral that had fire worms on them. They are harmless unless you touch one, they can give painful stings. I dipped 90% of my corals and rocks in peroxide not to long ago for bryopsis and I had to have killed 6 or 8 of them. Once a week I'll see 1 at night and I'll take it out. Hopefully eventually there will be non left.
