Could be, but I've never seem a brown brissle worm. That doesn't mean there aren't any.

I found it in the container with my filter socks, I've never seen anything like it and I'm trying to decide whether I should toss it or put it in the sump.

I would probably just toss it, but that's just me. If you found that one, you probably have others.
