Bristle worm?

I am holding some live rock that has corals and nems for a friend that has their DT in hypo. I was looking in the tank tonight and noticed this guy crawling around the rock. Is it a bristle worm? It’s about 2 inches. I haven’t been feeding the tank but should I to keep it alive until I give the rock back or should I get it out of there and flush it?

i don’t know if you need to go out of your way to feed it,but if you put a little fish food in, it will get it

Yes bristleworm. Not welcomed in my tanks but many desire them for sand bed

Yup, looks like common bristleworm. I would leave it be. And it's a good idea to feed a little food to the tank to keep the bacteria alive.

Looks like the standard bristle worm. Some hate them, some love them. Me? I'm cool with them hanging out in the tank. They are pretty good indicators of my nutrients and feeding. Population seems to be more or less balanced so a good warning.

They really do help clean up uneaten food. Not really going to see them during the day unless you feed and they sense it. So minor oddity and not really visible.

Yeah, fun to see when lights are out, they come out and are all over the live rocks.
