So today has been interesting. I picked up a blue green chromis and within hours it was dead. Checked all parameters and everything looks good and all other fish are happy and eating like pigs. Then tonight i see this strange worm on my glass. I believe it is a bristle word but after the recent death i just want a second opinion. Thanks for the help.

I've read of them killing fish at night. Never personally seen it happen. I doubt they are the cause of your death. You can buy a trap for them.

Not a bristleworm but a dorvilleidae worm which is often confused with a bristleworm having a thinner body and climbs glass and evens swims across tank whereas bristleworm rarely if ever do. The Dorvilleidae Worm is a smaller relative of the bristle worm and grows to 3-4 inches long. Dorvilleidae worms feed primarily on algae and are not considered as a threat to the system.
