ok so.. i just noticed how big my bristle worms have gotten! some are about 2-3 inches long.. maybe even longer because they are not fully out of the rock! how can i get rid of them without picking them out of the tank with a tweezer?

Soda bottle trap. Place some food in a empty soda bottle and set it on the sand over night.

OMG I JUST SAW ONE HES LIKE 5 INCHES LONG! HE CAME UP FOR ONE SECOND OUT OF THE ROCK!

wouldn't they just crawl out the cap area? maybe i need to drill a hole into the bottle?

If you place enough frozen food in there, they will stay long enough to remove them.

Please post pics of what you catch

Why do you want to remove it? They only munch on things that are dead or dying; leave 'em be and let them do their business.

Edit: I've had them well over a foot long in tanks under 30g and they've never messed with anything.

too big imo isn't good, but when they are small and decent size it's not bad.

update: i set the bristle worm trap and this what i come back to 20 minutes later... smh

I have had them in the large size almost a foot long with no issues. IMO it's silly to trap them based on size and looks, feed less and let the tank age and it's all good.

update: i looked at the trap this morning and nothing was in there, so i just took it out and let them be.. it's also kinda a hassle to set the trap and with the snails all wanting to go in the bottle
