I have my CUC in QT with live rock that has about 4 - 8 Bristle Worms living in the rock. The QT is over and I need the tank, but do not want to put my 2 shrimp and crabs in the DT since I got a Harlequin Tusk. The plan is to put them in my sump until I am done populating all my fish and have an empty tank I can put them back in and keep them with a few safe fish permanently.

The question is, will the Bristle Worms stay in the rock in the sump, or will they venture out and find their way into the DT?

Also, do the Shrimp and Crabs need light or will they be fine in the dark sump for a month or two?

Bristle worms could spread.

Some light would be good for the shrimp and crab. Can get a small usb led, turn on from time to time.
