Bristle worms

Reduce the amount of food available to them, and their numbers will drop.
In other words, remove the detritus accumulation, and you won't have a big bristle worm problem.

Why get rid of them? They're great scavengers.
Well I guess mainly they freak me out and I'm always worried about the fish lol we have 2 clown
Leopard Wrass
Diamond Goby
Mandarin goby
And the grouchy basslet

How long should it take to starve the tank when feed daily

The numbers may decline over time but you will never starve them. Fish have to eat and poop and there will always be something to eat. Like was said before bristle worms are a beneficial part of your tank and cleanup crew. You might get a little burn if you touch them but they are not going to harm any fish. Now if you want to get rid of them there are bristle worm traps and things like some wrasses or coral banded shrimp that will eat them. If your tank is small enough with minimal rock you could probably remove all the rock and get many of them by vacuuming your tank but some will stay in rocks. Usually I find mine under base rock, in contact with sand bed, where detritus may accumulate. BTW bristle worm is a broad name that many people use to name any number of varieties ranging from the small red fire worms I have to some of the ones I have had that have grown to 12"+.

Welcome to the R2R community!
There is a way to get rid of them for ever but it is harsh and I'm not sure I would recommend this process just for bristle worms.
As stated they are harmless but agree unsightly
It's a choice you will make but like I said there is a way to rid of them without getting your hands wet.

Hmm how harsh would it be on everything else in tank and would you fill me in on how I will probably leave "it" assuming there's only the one

Oh there is only 1?
I would trap it then :)
OR take the rock out it is in and dip it in fresh water

Thank you I think I'm just gonna watch and make sure there aren't a bunch and if not then probably leave it in there thank you for you help

I really appreciate the kindness and how welcome I feel ! Thank you really the kindness is refreshing
