how many is so many?

I have arrow crabs patrolling my Chaeto bed, but not in my display

It's ok but they can irritate and sting fish (which can lead to infections) and it can make it a pain to move or grab anything in the tank. I absolutely hate bristle worms and unfortunately they are one of the 2 pests that made it into my tank (I made a stupid mistake years ago)

Yes. You have the amount you need.

Their population will vary with how much food is available. If you don't want as many, you might try feeding a little less, or get an arrow crab. I think they about the best clean-up crew you can have. If something dies, or you feed a little too much, they take care of it before it creates a big problem. They might be ugly and a bit of a pain if you have your hands in the tank, but they are worth it in my opinion.

If you think you have too many, you are feeding too much. They exist to process waste and scavenge. Their population is exactly how much food is going to waste (+ a little fish poop I suppose).
