Hey all

So I recently got a bristletooth in my 3ft

Its a model citizen apart from when my helfrichi comes out from hiding, it chases him, not all the time but I've just noticed it now, I'm not concefned that he will ever catch him but I don't want my helfrichi stressed out.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to stop this or distract my tang? Or should I feed him more?

It will pan out. I have 18 tangs and they have their attitude moments but never long term other than Sohal and clown tangs that never stop

here he is in the back ground always out and about

Ah ok cool! Reckon it will subside once it settles in?
Yep! Usually the Ctenochaetus just get the fish to understand they’re the king/queen and then leaves it alone.

It's gone :( my first fish is gone..

I'm shattered.

The tang is going as well.... Devo!
Oh man, I forgot it was a fire fish… The firefish don’t cope well with stress, even minor stress - Usually when adding firefish to a tang or aggressive fish you add them in with other fish.

Yeah he was so good and was so hardy for me, even was fine with the clowns. As soon as the tang was introduced it was constantly hiding. I reckon it's jumped and the cat has had a feast. Unless somehow it's hiding in the rock work which is unlikely as I completely rearranged it to get this tang out

They can go into hiding and you may never see them until taking down the tank but the ants usually when they’re under going aggression.

As for other stock, I’d go for a different goby personally as I love the family and their grumpy faces. Maybe a leopard/pencil wrasse, as for what species of wrasse here’s a few recommendations:
- Macropharyngodon bipartitus
- Macropharyngodon choati (On the harder side of both tamarin and leopard wrasses)
- Macropharyngodon negrosensis
- Pseudojuloides atavai (If you can find one)
- Pseudojuloides severnsi

And gobies you could do essentially any of them except valenciennea as I would wait a while before going with any sleeper goby.
