Anyone else ever have this issue?

This is a return/circulation pump from a RS 260max. It sits in the rear AIO sump area. I've had a cabinet sump below for some time, but still run the AIO pumps. I noticed the pump was no longer pumping, so I removed it for inspection/cleaning. Inside is a big bristleworm. I was turning the pump on and off and think the impeller injured the worm.

This is the second time finding a bristleworm in one of the pumps. Last time is was the other pump. I'm guessing the worm enters the pump when it's not running from lack of cleaning, etc. This is about 6 months since last cleaning.
