Ok so after many years of the back and forth on bristleworms I’ve concluded 2 things. One they are normal and part of a healthy system and DO NOT EAT/ATTACK LIVE FISH. Two there is this fantasy list of all these creatures to rid them if you desire to thin out the population. So in short my population was to high and heck with cutting back on feedings or plucking them out or buying traps pffff…lol. I’ve tried everything on that list EVERYTHING except one way down on the list because it too is rumored to “attack live fish”. I bought a $10 arrow crab. He’s been in my tank 24hrs at this point. Haven’t seen him with out a worm in his death clutch…lol. He will now be known as Shredder! I recommend this to any and all so worth it and cheap compared to the other alternatives that I have tried and never worked.

Arrows crabs are cool, they just don't play nice or fit most setups.

I had one that was so gigantic she had to get donated, in my 125 gallon she took up so much space and on top of that killed a clownfish. She grew really fast too.

They definitely do the trick for bristleworms, she always had one in each claw, but currently I pretty much accepted bristleworms will be a thing regardless so long as there's enough for them to eat and populate, I gotta find stuff to outcompete them.

Love the name!

I also struggle with a high population of bristleworms in my tank. I've thought about getting an arrow crab but my extreme fear & dislike for spiders won't allow me to do it.

They are awesome bristleworm hunters. You can also low dose PraziPro which will knock them down but I prefer the arrow crab and often recommend them.
