I've typically let bristleworms do what they do in my tank... but lately I've noticed zoas looking picked at or die off in days and some mushrooms with bristle worms around them. Do they harm soft corals? Should I consider trapping them?
Thanks.

They are opportunistic eater, so if something is on the decline and defenseless, they will go for it. That being said, I’d imagine if the population is unmanaged, they can possibly prey on things.

not really, 95 out of 100 times it is the corals being unhealthy letting the worms eat them, they can't sting to drive off them like normal and the decomposition scents get the worms attracted to the site.

There is of course a small amount of worms who can eat living coral, and an even smaller number who eat nothing but corals, but they don't often make it to the tank
