Brittle or Serpent Star??

Just got some small pieces of live rock to increase bio filtration to an established tank, tossed the rock in and around this little star jumped off and ran onto my shell.

I think it’s a brittle, but I’d have to see more of the behavior to tell.
Unless I’m making this up, serpents are the more active ones while brittles are sedentary and only extend their legs for feeding.
 
Mini brittle stars, wont get much bigger, good to have.

I’m not proud to admit this but I didn’t expect this thing to be on there, I dropped the rock in and it sprinted across my hand like one of the face huggers from ALIEN and I screamed so loud.

Could be worse - a bobbit or a mantis is basically a living xenomorph
