Have had my tank a year. Have seen some brittle stars here and there but it has gotten OUT OF CONTROL!!! This is a cluster of polyps
That I was able to remove from the tank. So many on the rock that they would not open because there coverd [emoji51] I have purchased a Melanarus
Wrasse because I read they will eat some, have not see him touch them.I dipped this rock piece in a small dose of Coral X and they all ran out! (Sad I know) heard and earful from the wife. I counted 275 on and in this rock alone. Please help

Looks like you're on the right track. Remove as many as possible manually and as you're wrasse becomes more mature it should start eating the one's it finds. It probably is eating them but with that many in your tank it will take a while before you start to see a difference

Reef Rookie you sure you? have know idea how crazy these things are right now!!

I heard about the bongo, but I also heard it will eat my other shrimp?

Human the bongo looks like the way to go maybe!! Pricy but worth it!! crazy looking to!! Now I just need to find them, just read they are rare..

Just cut your feeding, siphon up detritus

It's just a population boom it'll die off eventually
I agree with this. Every winter I get an asterina population explosion in my frag tanks and within a couple months the numbers are back to normal.

that's crazy! I would go the manual removal route.

I will send brittles stars to anyone who want them.. pm me info... I have thousands!!
