Brittle star might be stuck

So I recently bought a reef ready tank well it came with a brittle star that was hiding in the overflow. Guy said he likes it in there but I think me might be stuck. Should I leave him be or try to remove him.. will post pictures of him sticking his arms out of the holes

Id leave him plenty of food for him to catch going through.

As long as he doesn’t go into the drain pipe and cause a problem.

The only thing is I don’t have nothing but water and some rock and kenya tree this is my 2nd tank (1st one was a freebie from a friend who didn’t setup correctly ended up getting rid of it had hob filter) but this is

my first tank with the drilled over flow and sump want to do everything right so hopefully y’all can help with that!!
