It looks like it's a red and white, I hear green ones are aggressive. You think it's safe?
Someone on facebook reef group, Id'd this as a serpent . What's everyones thoughts one the kind of the starBrittle stars are mostly scavengers, good for cleaning up an overfeeding or detritus issue.
Just "Green ones" or "Banded ones" isn't exactly a good description for starfish, because there can be dozens of conspecifics, but I've never personally had a particularly aggressive starfish. Serpent stars are more the ones that tend to be labelled as 'mad killers', although I haven't seen this attribute personally either.
