ugh......noticed today that my 6025 was rattling around, turned it off.......then back on......and it wouldn't even start.
i opened it up.......and to my surprise (well...not really surprised), the shaft fell out.......AGAIN.
to say i'm really annoyed with this problem is an understatement, this was my 3rd set of replacement nanostreams from tunze. now i'll need a 4th set, and i havent even had the pumps for a year.
i should have seen this coming though, as i saw the shaft rusting about a month ago. but was told these were the "new" and improved shafts from germany.
this represents a major problem too.......b/c although the customer service is great, and the turn around in shipping the broken pumps back, and getting the new pumps takes a little over a week. before i wouldnt have too much of a problem as i could just pop some MJ's on the side of the tank until the mean time.
but now i have a huge eurobrace, so the only way to put a pump in the tank is via a strong magnet. so i guess i'll have to go out and either buy new tunze pumps while waiting for replacements, or go buy some expensive magnets to hold MJ's up on the side of the tank.
any ideas?
