Hey everyone. So I ended up breaking my ghost overflow box while moving. Just wondering if in your opinions this is repairable. It’s a 21” reef savvy acrylic ghost overflow. I read that weld on works well for this stuff. The damage looks bad but its only one solid piece that came off. Let me know your thoughts... it’s on the external part of the overflow. I tried to see if reef savvy sells a replacement but couldn’t find anything and waiting on a response from them.

Thanks in advance!

I’m trying to find a replacement. But I know reef savvy doesn’t sell the overflow anymore unless you do a custom with them. I’m waiting for a response from the company. So I’m trying to plan for worst case scenario. I looked into synergy but the holes for those don’t match up to mine.

I'd go ahead and glue it with Weldon and then glue addition acrylic strips over the seam lines. May not be pretty but it should hold just fine.

JB plastic weld or plastic bonder. Rated for pressures you will never obtain on that overflow. Get it in black, use a old credit card or scraper to fill the cracks and smooth it out.

Thanks everyone for the advice much appreciated. I’ll give the repair a go, but never heard of modular marine. Looks like they could be my solution also.

Well done LOL,

Frankly, that looks like a pretty easy fix. Get some of that thickened Weldon cement (#16 if memory serves). Joint will be just as strong as it was initially. If you are a member of over builders anonymous, as I am, a strip of acrylic welded to the outside or a square dowel inside will assuage any worries.
