While working in the tank I accidentally hit a branch of an acro and broke it off, a small piece id just glue it on a plug but this one is 2+ inches I kinda wedged it into the colony but never did that before.. never broke a piece this big before.. any suggestions ?

give or trade it to a local reefer. stick with your original instinct to glue it to a plug or rubble rock.

It's a good looking acro so you could sell it for a good price. Throw it onto a rock or frag plug and you should be alright. Maybe do a dip if your paranoid.

I normally just reattach next to the existing colony. Other option is to start a new colony somewhere else in your tank if you have room.
