Broken Skimmer Pump!

I just returned home from Halloween festivities with the family and noticed my skimmer pump has stopped working. I ordered a replacement online but it wont be here for 2-3 days. I have all zoas as far as coral is concerned and i have about 6 fish under 23 inches in my 40 breeder. What do i need to do to make sure that my fish will make it until the new pump arrives?

I had a 40 gallon tank for 5 years without a skimmer. it was fine many people just run filter sock. skimmer is just to aid keep nutrients down but it isn't necessary for things to stay alive
