So i bought a skimmer and it came in snapped, Both the pump attachment and the return pipe snapped of the acrilic... Do they sell replacement skimmers w/o the pump? Its a SRO 2000 int skimmer :(

I never even got to set it up and run it

Even if it's an EBAY skimmer I would contact the seller and see what they are willing to do..

Sometimes when parts break off a skimmer body it is easy to fix with a little weld-on #16 or #3.
As long as it didn't shatter into a bunch of pieces, it may be easier to fix it than deal with getting a replacement.

Not sure if this is the case or not.

Yea im wondering if an acrylic weld will work

I contacted the seller and got my $$ back but... i got a steal for it so the $ i spent was no where near what a new one would cost

I'll post pics

I have use acrilic wield before, like already stated depends on how broken up it is, but if the breaks are clean it should work.

Best i can get with my camera phone

I take some light sand paper and smooth it out. But yes I think it should work just fine.

IMO, I would not try to sand it.
Putting it back together is like using puzzle pieces. Each piece has a shape it needs to fit into.

Try using some epoxy putty used to hold live rock together, maybe seal it first with aquarium silicone first. Will have to hold it in place somehow until it bonds

I have used a plastic epoxy I found at autozone for many things. It is a whiteish color when dry and cured but is amazily strong. If the wled-on idea fails I would try this before tossing it out.
