I think it's Brook. The give away is the sloughing off on the face.

Metro every other day for 10 days should take care of it.

If you go the formalin route the key is to place the fish into a 2nd sterile tank post formalin.

I thought it was brook but wanted to get a positive ID. Have dealt with it before. I will pass this info on the person with the infected fish and get him started on treatment. Thanks
