Brook or Velvet?

Hi guys,

I noticed my clown in quarantine has what i think is brook at first, but then my goby in the same quarantine has it as well, so i was curious if that is actually brook or velvet?

Idk if other fish can get brook as wellm or that is actually velvet. What do you guys think? I recently added some copper into the tank and the copper level is .5 tested by the sera test kit. Is there anything else i can do?

if it is brook you want to be treating with seachem metroplex copper treats marine ich/velvet and seachem metroplex treats brook and uronema most people treat with copper and metro to cover a broad spectrum of parasites

Thank you, ive been reading a lot regarding brook and velvet, and the more i read the more confused i am regarding ID these parasites lol. Judging from your experience, which do you think the clown is having?

to me it looks like brook but sometimes brook and velvet look pretty close

Thanks again, thats what i thought at first too but since my goby also have spot like this and died last night, it made my have some doubts because at first i didnt think brook can be deadly to other fish that are not clowns

That looks like velvet (Amyloodinium) to me. It kills fish very fast, so you need to get your copper up to full dose as soon as you can - but once the fish are at this stage, the copper often doesn't work fast enough.
