Long story short I was stupid. I bought some expensive clowns and placed them in one of my tanks that already had a goby, a kole tang, a royal gramma, some snails, and a cleaner shrimp.
The fish have presented with they typical sloughing slime coat, flashing, and labored breathing.
One clown died before ever showing symptoms. I treated to other clown and the gramma which was flashing. They seem to be doing ok.
I tried treating the tang but he was too far gone and died a few minutes ago, and the goby kicked it earlier today without warning....
Long story short I have clown and a royal gramma left in the tank. There are some snails and the cleaner shrimp in there too.
I had been treating with Mardel Quick Cure (formalin) and isolating them, but I’m thinking I need to treat the display. Is this a good idea or not? Can interest with the dry rock (been in the cycles tank for 7 months+) and some snails? Or do I need to remove the fish, treat them again separately and go fallow (shrimp and snails only) for 70 days?
I have no corals in this tanks. Thanks in advance!
