I have a pair of 14 year old Clownfish in an established 150. No major changes in water quality. Recently the Female started to shows small signs of what looks like Brook (only seen pictures of the disease so i'm somewhat guessing). However, the Clown has had the issue for a few days and it hasn't really gotten worse (at least not very fast). I tried to take some pictures but the issue doesn't show up on the pictures I got. Also, she is acting normal (e.g. eating swimming and breathing). I don't want to stress her (and me) by trying to catch her in my 150 to treating her for something she may not have.

A couple questions

1) Is it reasonable for a 12 year old clown with no major stressing changes to develop Brook suddenly?

2) Doesn't Brook move very fast?

3) Assuming it is Brook is there anything I can use to treat the fish in the Tank ( i am not sure i can get the fish out without completely breaking down the tank).

Thanks in advance

Randall

When did you last add fish?
There is a whole sticky on signs and symptoms in the disease forum.

Hopefully someone else will chime in.

If the unknown spot does not show up on images it is hard to guess.

Is it Lymphocyctis?

Any thing new added to the tank in the last 30 days or so that was "wet"? Like fish, corals, inverts, rock, sand?
