Brooklynella?

So I first assumed it was ich but then I discovered this clownfish disease called brooklynella. I recently got a pair of clownfish (Monday the 11th). A day later I noticed one of the clown fish had this cloudy white stuff around one eye. The other clownfish had no signs of white spots or anything.

I can't fully tell if this is ich I am dealing with or if it's brooklynella. The fish has been eating, swimming normally, breathing normally. The only thing wrong that I can see is the white spot on it's eye.

I need some input on what I should be doing. Parameters are fine and this is a new tank cycled.

Can you post a pic? It sounds more like Lymphocystis or possibly a bacterial infection than Brooklynella.

Hard to take a pic, they were sleeping in my rock. But this is the best I could get. So basically if you look closely its only around his eye and between his eye and where his mouth is. Its only on this one eye and side

To be honest, I really can't tell anything from that photo.

Is there a reason you are thinking it is Lymphocystis or bacterial infection rather than brooklynella/ich?

IME there is usually more signs associated with the brook. Almost always discoloration somewhere on the body, strange swimming/floating and if you noticed it 3 - 4 days ago but havent done anything, I think there would be no question at this point. If you have a QT available you should move him over and keep watch while doing a little more research. Im personally leaning more towards a bacterial infection of some kind.

I think so. Brooklynella is pretty agressive the couple times ive seen it. I think most go into critical mode if they suspect it. I know it can appear from the stress of going from the store to home (tank to tank) but its a pretty rapid decline as far as im aware and by the next morning you should be able to tell for sure.

Thank you for the input. I am hoping it is not Brooklynella but will keep looking into what it could be. As it will be the 5th day tomorrow and the fish is still acting normal, I'll be looking to cross off that it is brooklynella..

Basically, brook would spread all over the body. It wouldn’t remain confined to just one area (like around an eye).
