Ive had it happen a couple of times where over night it covers the substrate and rocks with a brown film. I just go back and clean it off. Its a relatively new tank and i know its something that happens to newer tanks. Do i just need to keep cleaning it off and as it matures it will stop happening? First time it happened i did a 20 percent water change as it was close enough to the time to do it anyway. This time i just scraped it off.

It will eventually stop, so I would just let the tank do it’s thing

Thanks

How new is the tank? As stated above, if its still cycling, just let the tank run. It only becomes a problem when it becomes the norm.

Probably 4 weeks. All the levels have gone down and are staying steady.

All the nitrates, nitrites and ammonia have been at good levels for 2 weeks.
