I recently moved a predominantly SPS tank to a new location. Surprisingly, nothing was lost, all my SPS survived. I haven't had a skimmer hooked up in a few months b/c it's loud but I do 10% weekly water changes and things are thriving. Well, 2 weeks after the move, I'm experiencing an algae bloom. All my SPS have never looked better and my levels are for the most part in check. What could be causing my algae bloom? I did lose alot of my clean up crew, but I want to know the cause of it. All my bulbs are good and those shouldn't be an issue.

During the move you could have stirred up the sand bed and caused a small spike in your parameters. I would consider running the skimmer for a bit and see how it is after.

Yes there was a major sandstorm and I wasn't prepared for the move. I'm shocked that all the SPS made it b/c I put it in all in there before the sand storm settled. You're probably right in that I'm going through another cycle. Should I be worried about my SPS dying off?

Its possible, but i would hook your skimmer up at the moment to help with things... just keep and eye on your SPS and take actions if you see anything not quite looking as it should.
