Hello all,
Just trying to ID this algae that has been plaguing my tank for forever. Able to blow off the brown with a turkey baster. However it leaves behind clear remnants that cling to the rock and turn brown in a few days. I attempt to remove off all rocks with a toothbrush on water changes. But it always comes back within 2 days.

I’m also having a issue with brown algae I’m not sure if it’s Dino or diatoms. It’s brown and only on my sand it doesn’t have bubbles but it clumps together. I think I have high nutrients though because I’m getting sea lettuce growing a lot.

If it's only on sand probably diatoms.
