Brown algae on my zoas!

How do I remove this without hurting the zoas? I've tried using a soft bristle brush, but it's not doing too much...would a wet q-tip work?

Can you put them in front of a Powerhead ?
 
Zoas and palys need more flow than you'll ever think ..
Try raising flow higher than you think and you'll see what they look like ..
Get a turkey baster and blow the dirt off them ..sometimes this will dislodge the algae..
This is a sign of not enough flow most of the time ..
 
They already get tons of direct flow, I think the problem is that the algae is single celled and attaches easily to the zoas.
Put them in front of a Powerhead to get the algae off
