what are the benefits of diatoms or brown algae in saltwater tank? should we remove them or no? healthy or not?

I am not sure you can do anything about diatoms unless it is to minimize silicate in the water.

if it is a new tank, can do nothing but ride it out. Part of the cycle

What cause silicate in my salt water tank? Was planning to upgrade my sump with skimmer now

If it is a new tank, like my tank here is 2 months old. you can get a small cleaners snails, or
let it be and be patient its part of the new tank cycle.
or get some LIVE copepods they will help alot in a new tank.
