Brown algae post Chemiclean

I dosed Chemiclean about 72 hrs ago. It helped get rid of the brown stringy cyano algae on my sand and rocks. I did a water change after 48 hrs. The algae is better but I still have some brown algae in the sand. Is this also cyano or maybe diatoms? Would another dose of Chemiclean help? Thanks! - Appreciative noob reefer

looks like diatoms, nothing to worry about. How old is your tank?

Thanks. Its young. 7 months old. I rearranged all the rockwork a few weeks ago that prob led to some of the recent algae issues.

just make sure you siphon the sand, keep it clean, keep phosphates low and also make sure you use 0 tds ro/di water in your tank
