So I started my tank back in Jan, I had some brown algae a few weeks ago but it went away. I noticed today/yesterday its starting to come back all over the glass and rocks. Is it possible its just the normal cycle ? I have not added any more fish in the past 2 months and have been changing water as planned every 2 weeks. Corals and fish look healthy. I did have a Chaeto reator that the chaeto died so not sure if maybe thats the cause. Was my 2nd attempt and it died again just like the first.

Should I get some snails to help clean the glass ?

New tank uglies. Often these will continue to wax and wane for around a year or so.

Attach a toothbrush to your siphon hose and slowly remove the algae from the glass so the siphon sucks up most of the algae. Some attach a filter sock to the end of the hose so the water will run back into your sump or tank, so you can keep siphon/cleaning for quite awhile. ;)
