Hi guys, I've had this brown algae on my tank's sand for a couple of weeks now. I've done water changes and used phosgard but it keeps coming back. My tank had already cycled and for some reason I got this algae problem now. All water parameters are fine. I haven't tested for phosphate though. Any suggestions?

I dont but my tank only has 3 small fish, a cleaning shrimp, a condy anemone and 2 coral frags. Should I get the full 55 gal cleaning crew or can I get something smaller? Also just tested for phosphate and its at o ppm.

Diatoms = silicates. Coming from the new sand, tank glass, pumps and anything else that contains it. From the looks, your tank is very new. They will go away with time.
Personally I'd be more concerned with keeping your Condy happy and healthy in your very new tank.

The condy seems to be in good health its growing. Am feeding it once a week. Thanks for your help I really appreciate it.
