so I have had this green birdnest that is brown and the skeleton is all white but the polyps are always full extended and is growing like crazy. So it definitely not dead new braches sprout all the time. I just can't get it to color up for the life of me I have move it to a couple of different places in the tank to no avail. It's been in the same spot now for about 3 months. Looking for some help.
My parameters are as follows
S-1.025
No3-5ppm (redsea
Dkh-8.3(Hanna
Cal-430(redsea
Mag-1350(redsea
Po4-0.04 (Hanna
It's in mid to high flow. I do w/c every other week which is 4 gallons out of a 40 gallon tank. I use RSCPS. My light is a Maxspect Ethreal led on for 8 and half hours a day with peak blue at 60 percent for 6 hours and purple at 40 percent for 4 hours. All my other coral are growing great my Zoa and LPS. So Can somone please help me out
Thank you.

Some corals and sps do like higher light to color up. I'd guess that you have yours in the 150 ish par range. Not too sure.
I'm not familiar with that sps

@Tahoe61 , do you know this coral?

Mine is a nice green color. I have it mid way in my tank. They seem to like nice strong lighting and fairly strong water flow. Mine is in line with my powerhead on that side of the tank. I use two kessil A160s on a 70 gal with max intensity of 65%. Lights are 10in above water. That seems to work. My parameters are similar as well. PO4 stays at zero. Calcium is at 475 and alk is at 9.4 these days. Do you use coral food? It definitely helps. I use Red Sea reef energy A and B.

Yes I feed reef nutrition oyster feast 2-3 times a week. And sometime I use BRS reef chilly. It's in a Nuvo 40 with 2 mp10 on reef crest mode they both ramp up and to to 50 percent so I know there's plenty off flow. I am starting to think it's what salty said the par level is to low. If it was 2 high then it definitely would of been dead by know seeing that it been in the same spot for about 3 months with still great growth.

Trial and error. That's what it's all about. Hope you can figure it out.
