Dealing with this brown snot but doesn’t seem like dinos. it blows off rocks. I had red cyano that i used chemiclean to clear. this stuff favors the sandbed and rock surfaces. does not collect on smooth surfaces.

what did you do?
Uv light, lots of turkey basting, dosing mb7 and h202 and also siphoning them out every couple days with a water change. A real pain! Gotta stay persistent with them.

Just went around with a turkey baster and sucked all that nasty **** out and pushed the water through a wad of filter floss back into the tank. of course it will be back tomorrow especially on that highest rock point but as long as it keeps forming there when the lights are on, i will repeat the same process. going to dose mb7. i already have a UV.

turned my whites down to zero and overall light intensity from 60 to 50

Keep them suspended in the water column the best you can so the uv can do its job! It sucks but I haven’t found anything else to help.. h202 at night.. that’s a whole thread in itself
