I have Comp 1,2,3, stored in three BRS 3part jugs and have noticed that the Comp 1 develops a brown layer at the bottom of the jug. Looks to about the color of tea. Since I'm dosing by hand I shake the jug routinely but how would this work with a doser?

Is this normal for Comp 1? Should I be mixing before each dose?

That brown thing is iron and its get precipitated from the solution. Just give it a shake once a day.

Very good I too was noticing it in my cylinder. And thx goodness its nothing to worry about but if iron precipitates out then should iron be dosed back in?

Suggestion as a fellow reefer you really don't need a lot of iron. Just mix it every day and whatever being dosed is enough.
