Hey all

I was inspecting my new speckled krak frag I got on the weekend, which has been doing well and opening up fully. I took it up to inspect today, and noticed this brown dot on the side of the polyp. Not sure what it is, wondering if anyone may have a clue:)

unless it starts moving I would assume it's an injury.

From what tho? I have two clowns and a redline that avoid that part of the tank, no nems or corals w sweepers near, unless a snail shell could injure it?

Could be a baby aiptasia or majano. While unusual for them to land on the stalk it does happen. Coincidentally enough I just removed a tiny baby nem from a speckled krak frag I got at a swap last weekend.

Whats the best way to remove then? I tried scraping w my fingernail with little success, tweezers or a razor blade maybe?

I have a precision pair of tweezers. I just pulled it off and gave the frag a quick lugol’s bath out of caution.
