I have a brown dust all over my sand and rocks. It's very dusty and light. If I blow on it with a coral feeder it blows right off like powder. It's barely visible in the morning and once the lights go on, a few hours later it starts showing up. I'm guessing this is diatoms from my research. What can I do to get rid of this and is it bad?

Some history:
I've posted on a few other forums about my zoas, xenias, LPS and softies in general not doing great all of a sudden. It was recommended I raised my nitrates since they were next to zero (I've just started raising it now). Tank is just over 6 months old. Phosphates are also undetectable with Hanna Low Range Phosphate.

Thanks!
