There are types of algae and Cyanobacteria that have a brownish look to them. You’re likely seeing one of these two things. If you’re cycling I would doubt that it’s Cyanobacteria unless you have a lot of decaying material in your system. It’s hard to know for sure without seeing a picture of what you’re talking about.
Yes it's a little over a month oldProbably diatoms if new tank .
If so natural part of a new tank starting to slowly mature.
Can get certain cuc that eat certain algaes and at certain points of what gets called ugly stage
ThanksDiatoms. Will go away on own. Let it run its course
Ok awesome all I have is turbo start 900 but I did go buy turbo snails and some other kind of cleaning snails and cleaning shrimp todayDiatoms, they only lasted 3 weeks on my tank i believe. Lfs told me to dose microbacteria from brightwell daily and i think it helped. But mostly because of my diamond goby and 2 turbo snails.
So I gotta go through algae stages before my tank is considered cycled or aged?Diatoms, they only lasted 3 weeks on my tank i believe. Lfs told me to dose microbacteria from brightwell daily and i think it helped. But mostly because of my diamond goby and 2 turbo snails.
