Algae (1 of 1)[5].jpg

I have this brown filament type algae that grows around the base of my torches and mushrooms.
Probably not a lot of flow there. Also grows in tufts on the back of the display.
32G Biocube - water is good. Phosphates at 4PPB - Alk around 9 - zero nitrates
I keep brushing it off but I am dreaming about a longer term solution. :)
Started using ROWA about 4 weeks ago - made a huge difference in the phosphate level and the amount of algae on the glass.

Really hard to tell from the picture. You don't have a microscope by chance do you? Is there good flow in the tank?

I don't have a microscope and the flow is pretty good. I have a circulation pump in the back two corners of the tank.
Best way to describe it is small tufts of brown filament algae. There is a base and then the strands project upward from the base.
Found in the low flow areas at the bases of the euphyllias and mushrooms and on the back of the display.
