Brown fuzz (not algae)

I feed dry food regularly, mostly due to my travel schedule, I also supplement reef roids when I’m around. Anyway, I always notice a buildup of brown fuzz on tank walls and sometimes the power heads and in some areas of rock. Is this a biproduct of dry food feeding?

Picture would help.
Might it be dinoflagellates? not fuzzy but slimy.
 
It seems more like suspended ditritus
