Hey,

Is this some type of algae? Started growing a few weeks ago and is spreading. Tried searching online but can't find any answers.

Also, I know the coral is in bad nick, it's recovering from a tank move (can anyone ID it?).

Thanks.

My guess is chrysophytes (or dinos) on green star polyps.

It's a weird one... very gloopy, not hairy at all... not a lot of it so can manually remove it for now anyway.

Thanks

to me it looks like clove polyps. And one big aptaisia
the brown stuff looks like brown jelly disease, but not sure...

Yea, tank overun with Aiptasia atm which is frustrating, but I'm trying peppermints for now (ich in tank so no fish as doing a fallow period).

Now I've googled pics I think your right, clove polyps.

The brown sludge originated from the tips of dead polyps... so you could be right! Just another issue I've to tackle lol

Seems this BJD is troublesome to treat! Coral is recovering, so maybe the BJD is just affecting the old dead coral?
