Alk-7
Ca-430
Mg-1300
Potassium-380. All others like nitrate are 0 it's a 65 gallon and it's been set up for a year and I just changed the refugium at Christmas but it was like this before I did that as well could this be coming from my water I make my on water with the 75gpd Aqua fx maybe that's my problem

The aqua fx is only about 6 months old it shouldn't need new filters yet but when I do a water change it looks good for about 2 days then it starts getting all over the glass

It's on every panel but it gets real bad on the back just because I can't clean it every day

Get you Po4's down and this dose happen with every tank. Carbon dosing helps. I have been dosing the No3Po4 x on an auto dosing setup and have great success with diatoms

Yes just noticed a few on the back wall but not much also my snail die a lot don't know if this the same problem

A decent amount I've cut back a little I might try the Red Sea no3po4x stuff just to see before I go to dino stuff

Looks like over feeding to me. I don't think it is Dino's but certainly worth reading up on.

I had similar stuff in my frag tank which I fed very heavily. Since I cut back on feeding and increased the cleanup crew it has subsided.

I'd recommend scraping it off before a water change and get as much of it out as possible (catch it in the filter sock or suction it out).

The goal is to let the bacteria and coral outcompete the algae.

This algae also takes hold when PO4 is to high in comparison to NO3. This could also happen if you feed pellets or frozen foods.

Either way good luck!

Yeah a lot of them die and pretty quick the crabs do pretty good

I'm not convinced. If you talk to every reefer, they have had snails die but unlikely have had dinos.

My recommendation is to compare pictures to people who have confirmed dinos and see if there is anything in common.

Doesn't look snotty to me. Also since it is only on the glass.. Another sign that doesn't add up to me.

My opinion, of course. [emoji16]
